Leading Ladies Astray Among these paintings are some attempts to capture the likenesses of a few real screen personalities. Lina Romay, Spanish director, Jess Franco’s favourite star, is seen here as a lady of the night. The original is now - as far as I know - part of her personal collection. No, we never met. Commissioned via a third party, and all done from photographs. Shirley Eaton was ubiquitous on the screen from the fifties to the seventies, from Carry-Ons to Fu Manchu, and all the stops in between. Who needs gold paint?
Alexxus Young is new on the scene, and has just appeared in a horror film, ‘Arachnia’. She commissioned this piece from me, which was rendered half with real paint, and half in Adobe Photoshop.
